about

I am a musician and filmmaker based in Gothenburg, Sweden.

As a bass player, I collaborate with musicians across Europe,
focusing on initiating, developing, and immersing myself in projects
where improvisation is central.
My primary focus is on jazz and free improvisation, though my projects
also span noise, folk, ambient, and pop genres.

I am currently involved in musical projects with Lisa Ullén, Hannah Tolf, Paul Jarret (FR), Karin Johansson, Cole Schmidt (CA), Malin Wättring, Christian Jormin, as well as groups such as Hollow Ship, Lisen Rylander Löve Oceans, Gårdon and Levure Sauvage.

Alongside my work in music, filmmaking is a central and equal part of my artistic practice. I work as a director, cinematographer, and editor, creating art films, short films, music films, and dance films. My approach is rooted in collaboration, often working closely with choreographers, musicians, and performers to develop hybrid forms where movement, sound, and image shape each other.

My work has been shown in both film and art contexts internationally. Recent projects include the music documentary/concert film
Poems for Orchestra, featuring Anders Jormin and Bohuslän Big Band,
and the film installation Collective, created in collaboration with
Cha Blasco and Ingeborg Zackariassen, exhibited at Röda Sten Konsthall in 2024.

Earlier works include Patrimoni (2021), co-created with Nils Berg, which was screened at Sundsvall Film Festival 2023, and I Rummet (2021), a dance film with Takuya Fujisawa, presented at Göteborg Fringe Festival.
I have also worked as editor and grader on Dina Grannar (2018) by Nils Berg, which premiered at Gothenburg Film Festival 2019. My music video Golden – Maria Norseth Garli (2021) has received international recognition, including Best Art Short Film at Bratislava International Film Awards and Best Cinematography at Athens International Monthly Film Festival.

Across both music and film, I am interested in collaborative and process-driven work. I often take an active role in structuring, arranging, and shaping projects, and I am drawn to situations where artistic disciplines and perspectives meet across borders, cultures, and languages. My aim is to create spaces where dialogue, friction, and shared exploration can emerge as part of the artistic process itself.
